Here is just a collection of pictures from this years annual Boxing day walk. This year we headed to the Purbecks and specifically to a small town called Wareham. It is known for the abundance of pubs and the beautiful scenery that surrounds it. Although the river and surrounded fields contained a lot more water than they should (due to the extensive rainfall in the last couple of weeks) we headed out along the river path and then out onto the heath. Wareham views are so perfect from the top of the hill in the heath as you get stunning glimpses of the sea so I couldn't help but take a few pictures. We then headed back to The Quay Inn for creamy hot chocolate and to bask in the sunshine.
Today was such a great reminder of how wonderful my local area is as I often overlook the fact that I live in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Hell, the Jurassic Coast is practically on my doorstep. Anyway for 2014 I'm going to try and challenge myself to get out and just see nature at least every two weeks of the year.

wearing: dress from tesco, tights from h&m

Merry Christmas everyone! If you celebrate Christmas I hope you are stuffing your face with turkey, potatoes and chocolate and everything else you can find. If you don't celebrate Christmas I hope you are still doing the same because eating too much food is for all year round. This was my Christmas eve outfit as I spend the majority of Christmas day in pyjamas or a onesie (in fact as I write this I'm cuddled up on the sofa in a dressing gown with rabbit ears watching Poirot). I love this dress because it hides a multitude of holidays sins (the empire line is the friend of a growing food baby) and it looks wonderful with all the shades of purple which is a colour I rarely wear for some unknown reason.
Hope you have fabulous holidays!

wearing: dress from primark, cardigan from primark, boots from h&m, tights from m&s
We finally have a Christmas tree! My dad refuses to let me put the christmas decks up until fairly close to christmas and if I didn't pester him I don't think they would go up at all but I did so they did. It's a family tradition for me and my sisters to decorate the tree together but unfortunately neither of my sisters come home until next week so this is the first year I have had to decorate it alone. Part of growing up I guess.

This dress is my go to floral dress for winter because it feels slightly dark and Gothic which perfectly describes my attempted style in the colder months (I don't know if I achieve it though). These boots are a god send as our drive has flooded several times in the last few weeks (due to the crazy rainfall) as these are only shoes I can find that are completely waterproof without wearing my union jack wellies everywhere I go.

wearing: denim jacket from boohoo, jumper from romwe, jeans from topshop, boots from h&m
You know it's winter so it's dark and rainy. You can't blame me. However I couldn't wait to show you my new acid washed denim jacket from Boohoo. Surprisingly I've never owned a denim jacket as I always felt the need to find a perfect one that it would last me forever and I am happy to say I have finally found it. Since it arrived it has barely left my shoulders as it completes every outfit and keeps me unbelievably warm.
Christmas is coming so soon and I can't wait because both my sister's are returning home and I get to undertake no strings attached eating for an entire week which is pretty much heaven.
I'm now going to drink some mulled wine tea and resist the temptation to eat my entire advent calendar.

If you know me, you will know that I have a slight obsession with lip products and every time I head into a Boots or Superdrug I will inevitably leave with another one. For this reason I think I am suitably qualified to share with you some of my favourite winter lip products.

Avon Hydra Finish Lipstick in Spice // This lipstick is a classic that I always go back to as the red with a hint of brown works perfectly for my pale skin tone. The colour is not too dark and the formula is not to matte as to be drying on my lips in the winter.

Maybelline Baby Lips in Cherry Me // This tinted lip balm is perfect for lazy days when you want something really moisturising but also want a slick of colour. It is really sheer but gives a wonderful, glossy sheen that I love.

Nivea Lip Butter in Vanilla & Macadamia // This lip butter is so creamy and sinks into the lips amazingly. It doesn't leave your lips feeling greasy and the wonderful scent last for hours. The only problem may be that I constantly want to lick my super soft lips as it tastes pretty good as well.

Ted Baker Lip Crayon // Unfortunately I was given this product as a gift and I have never been able to find out the colour name but it is a great product if you can find it. The formula of this crayon is really smooth and applies very well. The colour comes off as a deep purple but it is sheer enough to be very wearable in day time and evening.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 660 'In Love With Ginger' // This lipstick has a really creamy formula but still with great lasting power. The photo has made it look lighter so in reality it is much redder than it appears although it still lingers on the orange side of the spectrum. This is the perfect statement lipstick for a party or night out.

Revlon Colourburst Lipgloss in 040 'Crystal Water' // This must be one of the prettiest lip glosses ever and if you hold in into the light there is a beautiful, iridescent blue shimmer. This makes it perfect to layer over bright, matte lipsticks to amp it up. For a gloss it also lasts an extremely long time.

No7 Highshine Lip Crayon in Statement // This is one of my newest favourites as it is so glossy and the colour is perfect for someone who is slightly scared of wearing bright red lipstick in the day. This is a berry/red colour but the colour pay off is only medium bright.

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Lacquer in 501 'Stellar' // This product, unlike the one above, is not for the faint hearted. It is an extremely bright red with a slightly pinky tinge that is my go to colour for Christmas parties. The formula of this line is slightly like paint for your lips and out of all of these products this definitely has the longest wear time. If I wear it to a party I won't need to top it up at all during the night. It also dries with a completely matte finish so the colour stays bright.
