Round here

I've now banned myself from buying any clothes that are black or grey so that I can get ready to look tropical when I go to France, Tenerife and Lanzarote this summer. I originally looked at this top in the black but following this rule I picked this blue/purple colour instead and I'm beyond happy that I did. The colour is unlike anything else I own and as it is still plain it is perfect for pairing with the many patterned skirts I seem to collect. Also, the cut is so 90's which makes me feel cooler and more grungy than I actually am.

Dye job

Me and my sister decided to do a temporary, partial wardrobe swap yesterday so I gave her a load of clothes I haven't worn for a while and she did the same for me. Then when she gets back from uni for the summer we evaluate what we want back and whatever we don't the other person can keep. This gorgeous dress is a product of that. My sister bought it off eBay for about £3 and I honestly love it. The way the tie dye is really dark (I promise I have more coloured stuff on the way) rather than the usual garish bright reds and purples which I'm too safe to try and pull off. It also fit so well with this 80's style jacket which I pull out every now and then if I am feeling more of a statement jacket.
The weather here is incredible at the moment and it is such a novelty to not even have to wear tights, although I am not getting to enjoy it fully as exams creep ever closer (I'll be free in two months today).

On the wings of eagles

I've been meaning to photograph this outfit for ages as it is all I have really been wearing for the last four weeks but with revision and Easter holidays I have just not had the time. Here it is though and surprise surprise it is monochrome. I think someone might need to stage an intervention soon. Really though, who needs colour when you have black, it flatters everyone and coordinates with everything. It is definitely the lazy girls colour (so basically for me then). Anyway synthesis in organic chemistry calls.

bad timing

These are some of the photos from a shoot I did with my best friend Hannah. We drove up to one of my favourite places in the world, bluebell wood, but alas we were too early and all the bluebells haven't started blooming yet. Despite that it is still such a beautiful place to be and so photographing here was awesome. I actually go there on my own a lot when I'm stressed out and I need a break. Walking around in tranquillity definitely calms me down and with my final ever school exams looming I really need some stress relief.
